01. Game saves on your device
Crownwood Legacy saves your progress locally: your settlement, Crown Gold, purchased skills, best runs, tutorials, player name, an installation identifier, pending online score requests and cached leaderboard results. It also saves your language, sound and accessibility settings.
Your selected age range is saved separately on this device. We do not ask for your date of birth, identification documents or a photograph. The game records whether the bonus for a completed civilization has been claimed, to prevent paying that bonus twice.
We do not upload your settlement, skill tree, settings or age-range answer to the leaderboard service. The game does not provide an account or cloud-save system.
02. Online leaderboards
When the online leaderboard service is enabled and you submit a completed run, the game sends an installation identifier, a run identifier, your display name, house count, elapsed gameplay time and game version. Updating your display name sends the installation identifier and the new name. Failed requests may remain on your device and retry when a connection is available.
The public leaderboard displays names, ranks, house counts and run times. Choose a nickname instead of your real name if you prefer. Your installation identifier is not displayed publicly.
The service processes network metadata such as IP addresses. The game's rate-limit records use a salted, truncated IP hash rather than storing the raw address. Cloudflare provides the server infrastructure and may process network and security logs under its own policies.
03. Optional rewarded ads
The game uses Google AdMob for two optional rewards: one free card redraw, or an additional payout equal to the Crown Gold earned by the civilization you just completed. You choose whether to watch. Closing an ad before its reward is earned does not grant the reward.
When ads are enabled for your age range, Google's advertising and consent SDKs may process IP addresses, device and app information, advertising or other device identifiers where permitted, ad interactions and diagnostic information. An IP address can be used to estimate a general location. The game does not request precise GPS location access.
Data is used to deliver ads, measure their performance, prevent fraud and handle privacy choices. Personalized advertising depends on the applicable consent and platform permissions; choosing an adult age range alone does not give consent to tracking.
Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers to serve and measure ads. Non-personalized ads can still involve data collection and device storage. Where consent is required, the game uses Google's User Messaging Platform before requesting ads. You can review or withdraw consent through Ad privacy choices in Settings when that option is available.
Read Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from partner apps for details about Google's processing and controls.
04. Age choices and children
Under 13: rewarded ads use child-directed settings and general-audience content. Personalized advertising and remarketing are disabled for these requests. On Android, the game uses a Google Mobile Ads SDK package listed in Google Play's Families Self-Certified Ads SDK program.
For players who select ages 13–17, the game marks ad requests as under the age of consent and requests general-audience, non-personalized ad content. Adult players use Google's consent flow where required. Ads are not requested before an age range is selected. The raw age-range answer stays on the device; advertising services receive the relevant request settings.
The age screen is a self-reported choice, not an identity check. If you believe a child has supplied personal information through an online score, contact us using the details below.
05. Your controls
- Skip rewarded ads and keep playing with the regular game rewards.
- Use "Ad privacy choices" in Settings when Google's consent system requires that option. Your device also provides advertising privacy controls.
- Delete a local save slot through the game, or clear the app's stored data using your device controls. Deleting a local slot does not delete an online leaderboard record.
- Contact us to request access to, correction of or deletion of server-side information, or to exercise other rights available under your local law. Provide your leaderboard nickname and enough run details to locate the record. Do not send passwords or identity documents.
06. Retention, security and changes
Local saves remain until deleted or the app's stored data is removed, subject to your device's behavior. The server retains the installation's best score until replaced or deleted; duplicate-submission records expire after seven days, and rate-limit records after 120 seconds. Hosting and advertising providers apply their own retention policies.
Network connections use HTTPS when the production service is configured. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own.
We may update this policy when the game's data practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
